Career eMerge online tool:
We are pleased to announce that our project „Career eMerge: Integrating Digital Counselling with Professional Development” has received funding under the Erasmus+ programme, Education and Vocational Training, Action 2.
The project will be implemented in a transnational partnership with AESS – Associação para o Desenvolvimento de uma Economia Solidária e Sustentável (Portugal).
The main aim of the project is to adapt vocational education and training to the changing labour market by developing tools for the work of career advisors.
The project will produce the following results:
1. Development and implementation of the Career eMerge online tool into the permanent operations of WIR and AESS
2.Development of a Mentoring Program for NEET professional activation advisors
3. Establishment in both partner institutions of the School of vocational guidance trainers, involvement of counsellors in transnational cooperation
4. Counteracting discrimination, stereotypes, and gender-related professional exclusion.
The implementation of this project will contribute to improving the work of career advisors by developing tools supporting their daily work, which will be developed in a transnational partnership within the established teams. Work on developing the tools will be carried out in the project within working groups both in Poland and Portugal.
On May 6, 2024 in Lisbon (Portugal) the kick-off meeting (Kick-off Meeting) of the project took place Career eMerge. Project partners met to discuss the main objectives, the timetable of activities and the scope of work related to the development of the online tool Career eMerge and the Mentoring Programme for Career Advisors Supporting NEETs.
During the meeting, the key assumptions of the project were presented, tasks were divided between partners and the next steps in its implementation were established. Discussions focused on work methodology, challenges related to career counseling for young people, and opportunities to use modern technologies in the NEET activation process.
The Kick-off Meeting was an important step in building international cooperation and effectively implementing the project's goals. Subsequent meetings and activities will aim to develop innovative tools to support young people in the labour market.
Working meetings on the project were held from 2 to 5 July 2024 with the participation of career advisors from Poland and Portugal. The working groups included three meetings during which career advisors: familiarized themselves with the project assumptions, learned about the initial concept of the project and the tools: online Career eMerge and the NEET Professional Activation Mentoring Program for career advisors, exchanged experiences in working with people from the NEET category, learned about working methods and tools in both Poland and Portugal, and „small” partnerships were formed consisting of one career advisor from Poland and one advisor from Portugal.
Working groups organised in Portugal (Lisbon) aimed to explore the issues of career counselling for NEETs and to develop feedback and assumptions for tools supporting their professional activation. The meetings were part of the Career eMerge project and aimed to exchange good practices, test digital counselling methods and identify key challenges related to the integration of NEETs into the labour market. The key was to establish the further stages of the work, its division, and the principles of working in small partnerships to develop effective and efficient tools within the project. Working groups were held on 06/08/2024 – 10/08/2024 in Lisbon, Portugal.
