Medida Empreende XXI | support for the creation and development of new business projects by young people looking for their first job and unemployed people registered with the IEFP. The measure is implemented by the IEFP, I. P., in partnership with Startup Portugal, the Portuguese Association for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship – SPAPPE, hereinafter referred to as Startup Portugal, under the terms of this ordinance and a cooperation agreement to be formalised between both parties.
Objectives:
- Supporting the creation of businesses;
- Promote the implementation of projects in innovative areas;
- Encourage the development of entrepreneurial activities in collaborative environments.
Types of support
- Financial support for eligible investment in business start-ups;
- Financial support for self-employment;
- Appropriate vocational training for business creation and self-employment, where necessary;
- Mentoring and specialised consulting in the field of entrepreneurship to strengthen skills and structure and consolidate the project;
- Possibility of installation in incubators, whenever necessary.
The measure is aimed at individuals who have an economically and financially viable business idea and are registered with the IEFP, I. P., in the following situations:
- Young people looking for their first job, aged between 18 and 35 inclusive, who have never worked under a permanent employment contract;
- Unemployed young people aged between 18 and 35 inclusive, including those who are not in education or training;
- Other registered unemployed persons, including those who are eligible for the Support for the Return of Emigrants to Portugal measure, regulated by Ordinance No. 214/2019, of 5 July, in its current wording, except with regard to the conclusion of an employment contract, and their respective household members.
